KCA sets footprint in Atlantic Canada as it marks anniversary

Kenyan Canadian Association - KCA, a federal not-for-profit based in the Greater Toronto Area that implements programs that focus on the black community and other marginalized groups has appointed Mr. Samuel Kiragu as the Nova Scotia Regional Chair. This comes as the organization marks the first anniversary since it was incorporated on August 29, 2019.
Based in in Halifax, Sam brings into KCA Council wealth of experience in community service and professional skills that will help establish and implement robust program activities and projects in the region.

INAUGURAL KENYA FLAG RAISING CEREMONY AND 56TH KENYA INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION IN BRAMPTON
Brampton, Ontario - December 14, 2019
The inaugural Kenya Flag Raising Ceremony and 56th Kenya Independence Day Celebration took place on Saturday December 14th 2019 at Brampton City Hall in Ontario, Canada. Brampton, located in the Greater Toronto Area, is one of the fastest growing cities in Canada. The colorful event was a major milestone for Kenyans Living in Canada as the Kenyan Flag was raised for the first time by a Canadian Government in honor of Kenyan Canadians contribution to the Canadian Society. The flag will stay hoisted for two weeks from December 14th 2019.

NEWCOMERS IN TORONTO WELCOMED TO CANADA DURING FAMILY DAY WEEKEND North York, Ontario - February 16, 2020 As immigrants continue playing a key role in making Canada strong and prosperous, most Kenyan Canadians and Friends of Kenya in Greater Toronto Area (GTA) are celebrating this Family Day weekend by welcoming the recently arrived Newcomers to Canada.
In this effort the Newcomers Family Day and Clothing Drive event was held at Domenico Diluca Community Centre in North York, with the support of Kenyan Consulate in Toronto, organized by Kenyan Canadian Association (KCA), a federal not-for-profit that focuses on implementing programs and offering services to newcomers and low-income families.
